Charlene L. Kazay is a Canadian Christian Artist, Gospel Music Singer/songwriter. Charlene was born in Zaire (also known as the Democratic Republic of the Congo) and raised in the Ivory Coast. She is a Wife and Mother. Music is her way of expression. The testimony of her life has been and is the source of inspiration that has contributed to the way she writes songs and worships the LORD.

Many people have played a major role in her life; she has been introduced to a Christian environment by her uncle Alexis. At the age of eleven, she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior; and had her music debut at the age of twelve with (Choral Malaika in Nzambe Malamu Church). She has been a former worship leader of an evangelical church (Les semeurs de la parole) in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. In 2000 along with the group – Litandi Sisters, they will record their first solo album with Tropic Music Warden Production.

Charlene witnessed God in her journey as she began leading worship in various places. She has continued to praise and worship in churches each year from 1993 until now. At the age of 18, she will learn to write, praise, and worship songs and also took advantage of some vocal lessons in North America.

It was a dream but not just like any dream, after questioning the Lord so many times as for what he was expecting of her, the Lord came to her in a dream with such a confident, sweet and tender voice and told her “My daughter I want you to sing for me and then the voice says again just sing for me.” From that moment on, she knew where the Lord was taking her to. Therefore the following statement of her: ” I am not more than you are. All I am is just what my father in heaven wants me to be, nothing more, and nothing less. He is the source of my inspiration; the reason why I live. And all I can do it is only through His favor, I am talking about Jesus Christ the Lamb of God.

Worshiping the Lord Jesus it’s like having to breathe every day. Honestly say, Music is not my career. It is my calling, and one of my forms of communication. I express myself through music. I sing about what the LORD has done for me, who He is, and what He can do for you. So since the age of 11 and 12, I have been committed to serving Him through Worship, and I have experienced the Lord throughout the years in praise and worship. Therefore, I can testify that He has been with me and will always be with me. So let us Worship Him and He alone. He alone is worthy to worship and adore.

You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. Psalm 91:7-8

As the book of Habakkuk 2:1-4 says, “I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint. 2 Then the LORD replied: Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. 3 For the revelation await an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it lingers, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. 4 See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright— but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness” These words have always kept Charlene going.
